Sun salutes to honor «THE CHILDREN OF THE GANGES»
Almaty was not an exception. It was initiated in Almaty by Stanley Currier, Yogi, founder of vegetaristan.com and resident of DiningSmart community, who while visiting India knew about the School and decided to join the movement and help to raise funds for the Children of the Ganges. Founded by Truike Boekholt-Daly, Children of the Ganges operates only thanks to donations. Children receive free education and warm meal 6 days a week, and the school funds are raised completely through volunteer efforts with no state support.
Each city by giving the sun salutes tries to spread the word about the campaign among people who would like to make a donation.
The one can either make a donation or be involved at own community with initiative to spread the word about the campaign. All funds raised will go to operating costs for the school.
The day was an exceptionally brilliant for yoga practice turning all thoughts into a positive mood.
