VK Facebook Twitter

"Spirulina" is the commercial name of a member of the cyanobacteria genus Arthrospira. These blue-green algae appeared on Earth 3.5 billion years ago and mankind owes them for the first production of oxygen. Like nearly all of the unique plants and seeds that people like to call a super-food, Spirulina has been used as a main source of nutrition by the ancient tribes of the Aztecs. The Aztecs harvested Spirulina from the Lake Texcoco, which no longer exists, and prepared green flatbread from it. Nowadays you can try this green flatbread near Lake Chad in Central Africa, which since ancient times was prepared by living there Kanembu tribes. Today, Spirulina is actively cultivated around the world, especially it is highly developed in Japan. There Spirulina is used the most.

But what caused such a stir?
It's simple. Spirulina - is a natural storehouse of all kinds of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. For example, the nutritional value of 1 gram of spirulina is equal to 1 kg of vegetables! Also, it is known for a high content of valuable protein - from 50 to 70% of the total biomass, which is very high, not only among the plant proteins, but also among animal ones.
The unique properties of seaweed contains large amounts of essential amino acids (18 of 22), and vitamins such as A, B12, B6, B2, PP, E, C, and it is not the end of the list! The Spirulina stores various minerals, such as potassium, calcium, copper, selenium, zinc and iodine. One of the most exceptional nutrition facts is that cyanobacteria contains 1.5% of a rare natural substance phycocyanin. Phycocyanin - is an antioxidant, which, according to scientists stops the growth of cancer cells and enhances immunity. Yet it is worth noting that the chlorophyll contained in spirulina, nourishes the cells of the body with oxygen.

This truly rich content of trace elements, amino acids and vitamins is highly beneficial for your health.
• Spirulina cleanses the blood of toxins and removes toxins from the body;
• Gamma-linoleic acid in spirulina is an excellent means of prevention and treatment of arthritis;
• Promotes mental alertness, concentration, and boosts the energy;
• Tidies the nervous system and relieves insomnia;
• Inhibits the growth of cancer cells;
• Normalizes the functions of pancreas and liver;
• Lowers blood cholesterol levels;
• Improves the immune system;

Contraindications for use of spirulina have not been identified, but that with the proper production. You need to buy spirulina only from reliable manufacturers, and if there are doubts about the quality of the product, then refuse from consuming it. This is especially true for pregnant and lactating mothers.
Spirulina powder or a super-food blend, of which it is a part, can be easily added to your vegetable smoothies. Spirulina pills should be taken following the instructions on the package and drink plenty of water after. If you want to buy spirulina you are welcome to e-mail us at info@diningsmart.com. We added it to our proprietary blend of super-food, which, in addition to spirulina also contains spinach, carrots, beets, wheat germ and barley, coconut, poppy and chlorella. The presence of this blend in your daily diet will help you to enrich and diversify the diet with necessary vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
