ZHIBEK:  Hello, Marina. I have always admired beautiful people, and I admit that I watch your publications in social networks and especially admire almost daily posts from the gym. Please, tell us your story of becoming beautiful, stylish and a truly healthy person.

MARINA: Hello. Frankly speaking, as a child I was not the most beautiful girl. But from my childhood I always admired the beautiful girls. I wanted to be the same when I grow up. I always tried to keep up with fashion trends and follow the fashion and beauty industry. And, like any girl, dreamed of becoming a model. When I was a teenager, my parents brought me to a model school, which gave me a good start for development. Regular rehearsals didn’t give me a chance to relax. When I reached the desired, having worked in Milan, Paris, I realized that I need to go further. That’s when I opened the chain of beauty salons in Almaty. Now it is well-organized business that has been operating for about 4 years under my guidance. Opening the "beauty business" I did not think that it is easy. I worked hard on my personal reputation and image, as well as on the salons’ reputation. After all, I am the trademark of my own business. And there can be no errors.

ZHIBEK: Is Fashion People Awards 2013 a model contest? How much do you think is modelling career necessary for young girls?

MARINA: Fashion People Awards is an annual ceremony, where jury selects the main fashionists, fashion-brands and trendy places of the capital. So, I was awarded in the category Miss Fashion People Awards 2013. As for the modelling career of young girls, I am only supportive of it. This is a huge motivation for the development and self-improvement. But here, everything should be done wisely. There are a lot of lies and hype. Don’t trust all the promises, but rather work with qualified people and modelling agencies with a good reputation.

ZHIBEK: As you know, our project DiningSmart is about proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle. What is your understanding of the "Healthy Dining"? And how important and feasible is it for a public person with the hectic life pace to adhere to healthy dining?

MARINA: I think it is, first of all, a healthy diet. Of course, the composition of the perfect human diet depends on the person’s type of activity, lifestyle and the place of residence. I have to admit that I don’t always stick to the proper nutrition due to lack of time or because of the frequent flights. But even with this pace of life, I have found solution for myself. I make sure that I drink at least 2 litres of water daily. And I do not stick to "vegetarianism". After all, vitamins B9 and B12 are certainly very important to the body. The mood and energy for the whole day depends on it. Also, at every possible opportunity, I try not to forget to drink fresh juices. I especially love the pomegranate, apple, carrot and, of course, celery juice.

ZHIBEK: Since you visit Moscow often, you probably observed how habits of Moscowites, health-conscious, interested in healthy and tasty cuisine, are different from the habits of Almaty residents. Can you please give an example?

MARINA: I think that taking care of your own health is for those who love life, want to live long and think about tomorrow. And it does not depend on the place of residence; it must be in the subconscious.

ZHIBEK: Do you cook at home? What is your favourite meal?

MARINA: At home I cook very rare. I just do not have time for this. But if I have enough time, I'm happy to cook soup or plov. I also really like to bake pancakes and cakes. But lately, most of the cooking is done by my personal chef.

ZHIBEK And finally, what do you think is more important in the development of a healthy and beautiful person - taste, sense of style, sport, nutrition, or simply harmony with yourself, and the rest will follow :)

MARINA: We are all different... For some harmony is in the sport, for others in the music or beautiful clothes. The main thing, though, is to know what your own harmony is and follow it. But, your own attitude and inner harmony is reflected in how you are seen by others: your style, taste and appearance. And I wish you all: to find yourself, because inside each one of us has that little spark of what we are. And never lose the thirst to create and develop. We must learn to live each day, learn something new, unknown, smile more often and just be happy.
