Banana Bran Muffins

1 cup whole bran cereal

2/3 cup milk

1 large banana — mashed

1 egg — beaten

1/4 cup cooking oil

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup brown sugar — packed

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cloves

In large bowl, stir together cereal, milk and banana.
Let stand 2 minutes or until cereal is soft.
Add oil and egg; mix well.
Stir dry ingredients into bran mixture only until moistened.
Spoon into greased muffin cups.
Bake at 375F for 25 to 30 minutes.
Yields 6 large or 12 normal size muffins.
